Terms & Conditions
1.1 The Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions of The English House.
1.2 In accepting an offer, the consumer expressly accepts the applicability of these Terms and Conditions as stipulated.
1.3 Deviations from that stipulated in these Terms and Conditions are only valid when they are confirmed in writing by the management.
2.1 The restaurant will ensure that all the menu items and service offered meet the high standards as set by the management.
2.2 For all complaints the staff and management needs to be informed immediately. Appropriate actions will be taken as deemed necessary.
2.3 Operating hours are stated on the website and are subjected to change. The management regrets to inform customers that we are not able to process any orders or reply to calls and/or e-mails beyond the operating hours.
2.4 The dining period varies based on the party size. 1 hr and 30 minutes for party size of 2. 1 hr and 45 minutes for party size of 3. 2 hrs for party size of 4 and above. We will do our best to accommodate extended dining period.
2.5 The resturant and the management will not accept any walk-ins later than 9.00pm (6.30pm for Sundays). This is to ensure that our service quality is maintained.
3.1 All offers made by The English House are without obligation and The English House expressly reserves the right to change the prices, in particular if this is necessary as a result of statutory or other regulations.
3.1 All prices are indicated in Singapore Dollars, unless otherwise stated.
3.3 In certain cases, promotional prices may apply. These prices are valid only during a specific period and as long as the stocks last.
3.4 The English House cannot be held to any price indications that are clearly incorrect, for example as a result of obvious typesetting or printing errors. No rights may be derived from incorrect price information.
3.5 Prices are subject to change due to seasonality & availability of produce and without prior notice.
3.6 All prices are subject to GST (Tax).
3.7 10% Service Charge to be included in the final bill for all dine-in transactions.
3.8 A $10 transaction charge will be levied for any online order cancellation or amendments.
4.1 Methods of payment: Cash, NETS, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
4.2 Methods of online payment: Visa, Mastercard and American Express via Stripe.
4.3 You may not receive confirmation of your bookings or orders until your payment has been completed.
5.1 The English House is entitled to cancel or change the date of an event or booking. Should this happen, The English House will attempt to provide a suitable solution. If an event is cancelled or postponed, The English House shall do its utmost to inform you as soon as possible. However, The English House cannot guarantee it is possible to inform you timely of any change or cancellation of an event or be held responsible for refunds, compensations or for any resulting costs you may incur.
5.2 The English House is entitled to cancel or change the menu items of an order, whether it is due to stock availability or quality of service or produce. In such events, The English House shall do its utmost to inform you as soon as possible. However, The English House cannot guarantee it is possible to inform you timely of any change or cancellation or be held responsible for refunds, compensations or for any resulting costs you may incur.
5.3 In the event the order is cancelled by the restaurant, customers will be refunded the full amount paid.
5.4 Before confirming your order or reservation, ensure you check carefully that you have reserved the correct (number of) persons, date, time and/or the correct menu items and quantity.
5.5 No cancellations or refunds will be made for items ordered. A S$10 transaction charge will be levied on each cancelled or amended order.
5.6 Booking for tables will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes. After which the reservation will be cancelled and guest will be notified accordingly.
6.1 Bookings via Chope are subjected to Chope’s own Terms and Conditions.

6.3 In accepting the booking, the customer accepts the applicability of those stipulated in CHOPE’s terms and Conditions as well.
7.1 By providing your telephone number or e-mail address, the customer has consented to receive marketing communications from us. The customer may from time to time receive marketing communications by way of e-mail and/or Whatsapp/SMS relating to promotional offers, news and other recommendations. You may unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by following the directions provided in the electronic communications.
7.3 The site collects the following information: Name, contact information including email addresses, telephone numbers and other information relevant to customer surveys and/or special offers.
7.4 The English House will take any necessary action, within a reasonable capability and time frame to remove the customer’s personal information if so requested.
8.1 The voucher is non-exchangeable for cash in part or in full and is non-refundable and cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions or other types of vouchers.
8.2 Date of Expiry: 6 months from the date of issue. No extension is allowed.
8.3 The voucher is non-exchangeable in the event of loss, theft or damage.
9 DIETARY RESTRICTIONS & CONDITIONS
9.1 Customers with serious allergies should be aware that although all great care has been taken, food served or delivered cannot be guaranteed as entirely allergen free and will be consumed at the customer’s own risk. Customers MUST CLEARLY MAKE KNOWN their food allergies to the staff or on the booking/ordering form.
9.2 The English House shall in no event and/or under any circumstance become liable for any damages, incidental and/or consequential and/or penal and/or any other speculation of liability with respect to the food it has served or delivered to customers. Customers with life threatening food allergies should consume at their own risk.
9.3 All takeaway and delivery food items should be consumed within 2hrs upon arrival or collection.
9.4 The customer must ensure reasonable storage and handling of all takeaway food items.
9.5 To the fullest extent permitted under law, The English House disclaim any and all liability and will not be responsible for any losses or consequences arising from the consumption of food items 2hrs after delivery or via self-collection.
10.1 Menus are subjected to change due to seasonality & availability of product and without prior notice.
10.2 All photos in the menus or on the website are for illustration purposes only.
11.1 Delivery to outlying areas of Singapore may be delayed.
11.2 Delivery may be delayed due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances.
11.3 The time slot period for delivery/self collection on the website or other communication is an approximation only.
11.4 Delivery is in Singapore only.
11.5 The restaurant reserves the right to cancel an order if the delivery address is to restricted areas.
12.1 Although the comfort of the customers is our highest priority, some noise is to be expected in the restaurant. The English House is a Brasserie Style Restaurant. During festive periods and/or for celebrations, there may be an increase in the noise level in the restaurant.
12.2 The English House reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry to or eject any customer if at any time, their behaviour is deemed by the management as unsuitable or unruly to other customers.
13. OTHER PROVISIONS
13.1 Use of this website and these terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. You hereby consent and submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
13.2 Terms and Conditions listed here may be changed from time to time.
